The Railyard Bike and Dog Park
The park is a natural surface bike park that has a number of recreational and outdoor facilities such as paved trails that are suitable for riders of all skill levels. It is open to the public daily and offers off-road biking trails, drinking fountains, picnic tables, doggie stations, restrooms, observation decks, and a trail system that leads to Lake Atalanta Park. The Railyard Bike and Dog Park can be found just a number of blocks away from the Arkansas-Missouri railroad that has many train features. There are also multi-use trails that connect the park to Lake Atalanta or Pleasant Ridge trails.
Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area
This area stretches across 12,056 acres along South Beaver Lake and the largest state park in Arkansas. The pristine tract of Ozark landscape spans the Carroll, Benton, and Madison Counties, featuring an array of outdoor activities such as a 36-mile trail system, a public outdoor shooting range, and five primitive campsites for fun outdoor activities for the elderly and the younger ones. The park also permits regulated seasonal hunting and visitors can expect various exhibits at its modern visitor center that showcase the park’s limestone landscapes, rich history, and natural resources.
War Eagle Cavern on Beaver Lake
War Eagle Cavern is a pristine natural cavern with scenic waterfalls and forest trails. It is one of the top attractions in Northwest Arkansas, located halfway between Rogers and Eureka Springs. It was once used by moonshiners for making the Devil’s Brew before opening to the public. War Eagle Cavern is the spot to visit for hours of affordable family fun that include spelunking cave tours, a cryptic maze for the young and old, and gem panning.
War Eagle Mill
This is a working gristmill that can be found in the county of Benton. It is a fascinating historical site nestled in Ozarks’ rolling hills. War Eagle Mill is also one of the most picturesque places in the Natural State and it has been destroyed and rebuilt several times over the past few decades. Next to this attraction is the mill which is known for being one of the most charming and celebrated spans in Arkansas.
Lake Atalanta
This is a reservoir that is situated along Prairie Creek. It is used mainly for recreation and offers visitors with plenty of recreational and outdoor facilities that include picnic areas, a children’s playground, and a walking trail. It also has a fishing lake that is stocked with channel catfish and rainbow trout in the summer months and winter months respectively. Visitors can also enjoy other facilities in and around Lake Atalanta including picnic pavilions, paved stone walkways, walking tracks, and off-road biking trails.
