Take Note of the Time
You cannot just go out at any time to enjoy these exercises. Part of keeping yourself fit and healthy is to make sure you time your activities wisely. Exercise in the mornings when it is not yet too hot, or in the evenings, when the temperature feels cooler. Always watch out for weather reports to find out when to avoid exercising. Days with extreme heat are not a good time to do so.

As the day goes on, the UV radiation from the sun will become higher. Getting sun protection is not just about putting on some sunscreen. It is also about wearing lightweight cotton shirts, using a hat for protection, and even putting on sunglasses.
Do Things in Moderation
As you want to continue being healthy during summer, you must also see to it that you do not perform physical activities excessively. Drink Plenty of Water
Water has plenty of benefits for the body, and as we age, we need it all the more. Remember to drink when you eat your meals. Carry a bottle of water whenever you are out walking too. Do the same thing even when you are out for a swim. You can make drinking water more enjoyable by adding orange, lime, or lemon to it. Some would love hints of rosemary or mint in what they are drinking as well.
Exercise Indoors
When exercising is a priority and you cannot enjoy doing so outdoors, it is best to get inside a large air-conditioned space, or maybe visit the gym to get your body moving. Doing some grocery shopping is a good form of exercise as well. Once you are done exercising, always have a cool bath or shower.
Exercise with Loved Ones
Make your physical activities as lively as possible by being connected with the people you love. How can doing this keep you safe when exercising in the summer? It is as simple as having someone to look after you while you enjoy doing these exercises.
You can also partner with your carers, or team members from your retirement community when performing your usual exercises. That way, you will have someone to assist you with your urgent needs, or a person you can talk to while hitting the gym.
