How long will it take your loved one to receive attention after pressing the emergency call button? Take the time to independently verify this. See how long it takes for the personnel to respond by pushing the light. Is the delay occurring at particular times of the day? Is it during a meal or a shift change?
Raise your concerns with the highest level of management and observe their reaction. Remember that, as a paying customer, you should be entitled to such services.
Your Loved One Is Picky About Staff Members
Does your family member seem to prefer one employee over another? Realize that there may be a problem here. By right, none of the team members should make your parent feel uncomfortable or anxious. This is true even if your loved one has a cognitive ability impairment. Conduct a thorough investigation of the situation and alert the center’s administration if you observe these signs.
