Update: 10:00 AM – Thursday January 26, 2023

We are starting to get back to normal now. The cleaning up in and around the community continues but we are on generator power until all power lines are restored in the area by the utility company. Residents who have gone with families will be returning soon and we will be able to resume normal activities shortly.

Update: 8:30 AM – Wednesday January 25, 2023

All of our residents are comfortable this morning. Some spent the evening with their families and others spent the evening at our community with both our regional and on-site team members who will continue to assist with resident needs, any damages and additional debris clean up. We have a nurse on site who is doing rounds and performing checks.

Morada Deer Park experienced impact from a tornado at approximately 3:15PM on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

Knowing there were tornado warnings in the area, the on-site team had taken precautions ahead of the storm and relocated residents from their apartments to interior common areas to shelter in place.

All team members and residents are accounted for and no injuries have been reported.

Several regional team members are on site now and we are awaiting the arrival of a disaster relief vendor to help assess damages, begin debris cleanup and provide temporary generator power to essential areas, since the building is without.

No residents are in need of being relocated at this time but we have not yet completed a full assessment of the building.
